All of our outdoor pursuits in Crete are all within easy reach of our home base which is located in Kalyves, in the Chania district of Crete. All activities are provided by qualified and experienced instructors who are fluent in English and Greek. All have been trained to UK standards and indeed many of our instructors in Crete also work at our outdoor centres in the UK. When a school or youth group is visiting us in Crete the UK based “Team Crete” will fly out to head up all activities. The added value of booking with Crete Adventures is not only the fact that we employ the same high UK standard of activity safety, but our in-depth local knowledge, makes us the all in a one stop activity shop.

When you are coasteering with us in Crete for instance you will not just scramble along the cliffs and jump into the sea, but we will show you and explained about unique local geology. In the mountains we can show you rare plants and herbs, you will see the impressive Geraki or if we are lucky a rare Griffin Vulture. Mythology and traditional cultural life are a part of daily living, we will give you the opportunity to join in local events, social gatherings and festivals, a personal incite to the “Real Crete Experience”.
Pro-Active Adventure is the parent company to Crete Adventures, all specialist equipment is provided by us and is inspected and serviced regularly to the same standard as our parent companies procedures. Our outdoor pursuits in Crete are usually a half day session for each activity so you can fit two activities in your day if you wish. Obviously some are all day events such as the Samaria or Imbros gorge walks. You can create your own activity programme to suit your individual needs for your school trip. Simply choose the activities you want to do on your activity visit to Crete and we will put them into your ideal activity programme. Alternatively take one of our standard activity packages in Crete.
