Snorkelling is done by breathing through a tube while looking down into the water. You can see all sorts of sea creatures and beautiful coral while calmly floating along the surface of the water. It is incredibly simple and enjoyable and that’s what makes it such a popular activity for people of all ages. Snorkelling is great fun and an ideal way to build up water confidence. For both pupils and teachers snorkelling is a great introduction to underwater sports that may lead you to try scuba diving which is also very popular in Crete.
We have several sheltered locations within the Chania district that we can use, so apart from extreme weather conditions we can usually find a location where the water clarity is at it’s best.
After the safety brief and basic instruction, the group will move off under the supervision of the instructor to explore the coastline or lagoon we have chosen.
